Total agreement with this from my part too.
To be clear on this "cooling off" period, what I meant was to finish the
documentation by the end of this week as planned but not releasing it
before September.
We can and should give the documentation to volunteering beta testers
during this period on the condition that they join (and contribute :-)
to the developers mailing list. This type of release scheduling is
standard practice in open source development and proved to be a very
useful method.
